Lakeshore Designs was founded in 2013 by Eyal Cohen, who started the studio after a decade working in interior architecture in New York City. Drawn to the private lake communities of the lower Hudson Valley, Eyal set up shop to work directly with homeowners on the kind of considered, high-end interiors that were hard to find outside the city. What began as a one-room design practice has grown into a full studio working across interiors, branding, and custom furnishings — but the approach hasn't changed. Eyal leads every project personally, from first walkthrough to final placement, treating every material choice, a floor, a fabric, a fixture, as part of one connected story.
The studio is shaped by the region it serves: gated lake communities, private waterfront estates, and a client base that expects quality without compromise. That's the thread that runs through every project we take on, whatever the scale.
Every project responds to its site — the light on the water, the seasons, the way a room is actually used.
We choose materials and furnishings that hold up to lake-house life, year after year.
You're involved at every stage, from first sketch to the final piece set in place.
